Step 2: Mix the epoxy solution
Mix a little amount of epoxy ( depends on the crack) with the same amount of hardener. The epoxy is commonly packed with hardener and many types include a dual syringe applicator that distributes an equal amount of both materials. Pour the epoxy and hardener into a paper plate or small piece of cardboard. Then, mix them thoroughly as directed by using a popsicle stick.
Step 3: Push the crack edge
Push the sharp edge with a razor blade into the crack to open it a little wider. Hold the blade tightly by fingers and forth gently rather than pressing it straight down. In this step, you are trying to get an opening for the adhesive to inter in it.

Warp with a rubber band around the body of your ceramic mug to hold the edges of the crack together tightly. Clean up excess epoxy from repair areas with a soft dry cloth. Do not push the crack area when you clean it.
